93% of Respondents Strongly Feel Peter Obi Won the February 25th Presidential Election

*With an overwhelming majority, 93% of Nigerians who responded to a public opinion poll affirmed that Labour Party’s Peter Obi won the presidential election.

*Following the controversial outcome of the February 25th presidential election, many Nigerians have come out to say that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi won the election and that it was undebateable.

*To verify these claims coming from different quarters, Reportera News Nigeria commissioned a Twitter poll to find out from Nigerians who they think won the election and who they voted for. An astounding majority of respondents at over 90% voted in favour of Obi, the LP candidate.

Many people, despite indicating that they voted other political parties, strongly feel that Mr Obi won the election and that the atmosphere in the country following INEC’s declaration of Tinubu as the winner didn’t suggest that Nigerians voted the former Lagos state governor. Over 31,000 people responded in this poll where they were asked to select between Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku, the 3 main candidates in the presidential elections. This is part of a series of research conducted by Reportera News Nigeria to find out public perception on the presidential elections and if they’re satisfied with Tinubu’s emergence as INEC’s president-elect.
