Why has Peter Obi’s brothers not endorsed him?

It is rather worrisome and appalling how non of the sitting governors of the South-Eastern region have thrown their weight behind Peter Obi despite his massive appeal to the Nigerian youths who constitute majority of the voting bloc.

The five South-East states have 2 governors each for PDP and APC, Anambra is traditionally an APGA led state. It is even more worrisome that political and thought leaders from other regions have begun endorsing Peter Obi and his supposed kinsmen are yet to do so.

Obi recently met with Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state on what was billed as a strategic meeting but we are yet to hear or see any form of endorsement from the Governor.

Charles Soludo who is from the same state as Obi has rather distanced himself from national discussions and matters concerning the general elections as he recently took office and therefore projecting the idea that he’s preoccupied and focused on his primary duties as governor.

Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state who defected from PDP to APC a year ago had promised his party candidate Tinubu, that he will deliver 70% of the states votes to him, this is a bogus claim at best, he clearly overrates himself.

IMO state’s Hope Uzodinma who is in a fierce battle with Abia state’s Ikpeazu for the title of worst governor in the country has not even moved a finger in support of Peter Obi, the ‘supreme Court governor’ as he’s fondly called by his people owing to the fact that he was imposed as governor by the supreme Court despite coming a distant fourth place in the governorship elections, has not shown any sign that he’d likely endorse Obi in the near future.

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state who is alleged to have sold the PDP governorship ticket to the highest bidder has rather remained too calm amidst the nationwide cheers for Peter Obi.

What must Peter Obi do to get the support and endorsement of his kinsmen?

Obi does not need any of their endorsements to win. If the endorsements comes, fine! If they doesn’t come, its inconsequential and Obi is the president of Nigeria

Obi is a man of integrity and Nigerians believed so much on his ability to deliver in the capacity of a president for the good of all Nigerians irrespective of your tribe or religion.
